CALL FOR PAPERS
With the boom of Internet, IP-based applications, such as WWW and
multimedia, have been an essential part of our life, and there is an ever-increasing
demand for accessing high-speed Internet services anywhere and anytime. This
trend unavoidably has huge impacts on the design of the next-generation
satellite systems. On the other hand, with its broadcasting nature and unique
coverage, satellite systems also can play an important role in the
next-generation Internet. For example, satellite systems can be a good driver
for the deployment of IPv6 in the Internet, and can provide a fast way to reach
end-users because they do not rely on construction of a high-speed terrestrial
networks. This workshop will focus on the IP networking of the next-generation
satellite systems.
Topics
Authors are invited to submit full, unpublished papers reporting scientific and
technical research. All the papers will be reviewed by specialists from the
technical program committee. The non-exhaustive list of topics of interest
includes:
- IPv6 over satellites
- Architecture of the next-generation satellite systems
- Satellite and terrestrial network integration
- Quality of Service (QoS) and Resource management
- Mobility management
- Multicast
- Security and privacy
- Communication protocols
- Network monitoring and measurement
- Performance enhancement
Submission
Papers must be submitted electronically through the EDAS conference
management system, at http://edas.info/5198. Papers must be written in English.
Each paper is limited to single-column12 pages, including abstract, figures,
diagrams, references, and annexes. It is planned to publish the proceeding of
the workshop in a book.
